Elise Evans is a decorated American soccer player and center back for the Stanford Cardinal, celebrated for her defensive prowess, leadership on the field, and academic achievements. In high school, she excelled not only athletically but also as a leader, serving as student body president at Woodside in Redwood City, where she earned honors such as California Gatorade Player of the Year and the 2022 PAL Bay Division Forward of the Year. As the top-ranked recruit in the country, she brought her talent and leadership to Stanford after captaining FC Bay Area Surf to multiple national championships, earning tournament MVP honors for her performance. Evans has also been a consistent presence in U.S. youth national teams, helping secure a bronze medal at the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and serving as co-captain at the 2023 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship.

At Stanford, Evans has achieved remarkable success, including a Pac-12 Championship in 2022, as well as College Cup appearances in both 2023 and 2024. Her accolades include Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, United Soccer Coaches All-America honors, and  TopDrawerSoccer's National freshman of the year. Known for her defensive dominance, she has started every match, contributing to Stanford’s stellar defensive record, including 14 shutouts in 2023. Off the field, Evans is recognized for her academic excellence, earning a spot on the Pac-12 Fall Academic Honor Roll and College Sports Communicators Academic All-District first team. Her dedication to the sport, leadership, and consistent performance make her one of the top players in collegiate soccer.
